THE GIFT OF TIME

Almost without fail, everytime I read an interview of a highly successful person, when asked what they wish they had more of - it's always inevitably one thing - time.

In this busy season with all our plates so very full, may we all have the gift of a little more here and there for all the things we just don't seem to have quite enough time for...

TIME FOR FAMILY AND CHILDREN

"I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich."

TIME TO TRAVEL AND EXPLORE

"For my part I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move; to feel the needs; hitches of our life more nearly; to come down off this feather-bed of civilization, and find the globe granite underfoot and strewn with cutting flints."

TIME TO STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES

"Since time is the one immaterial object which we cannot influence - neither speed up nor slow down, add to nor diminish - it is an imponderably valuable gift."

Four Seasons

TIME FOR WINING AND DINING

"If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world."
- J.R.R. Tolkien

Marcello Guasti

TIME FOR DANCING

"Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance."

TIME FOR MUSIC

"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."

TIME FOR FRIENDS

"Time goes by so fast, people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you."

Tom Leonard, The Well-Lived Life

TIME FOR READING

"The time to read is any time: no apparatus, no appointment of time and place, is necessary. It is the only art which can be praised at any hour of the day or night, whenever the time and inclination comes, that is your time for reading; in joy or sorrow, health or illness."

TIME FOR LOVE

"Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity."
- Henry Van Dyke

TIME FOR WRITING

"I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead."

TIME TO BE CREATIVE

"We all have different amounts of wealth, but we all have the same amount of time. This means we can all be equally creative and can equally fritter our alotted span away on useless and ultimately meaningless things."

Evelien La Sud

Carlo Battisti

"I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see."
