THE ART OF THE BOOKSHELF

As designers we spend countless hours styling and restyling shelving of all shapes and sizes...libraries, living rooms, family rooms, baths, bedrooms, playrooms, offices and kitchens. On every installation it is the most time-consuming albeit creative endeavor we undertake; so I find myself obsessing with different ways to come up with yet another solution for creating those eye catching vignettes. There is also no better way to get that quick facelift for the room than to restyle your shelving. Let your obsessive compulsive disorder go wild!!

  1. I am in the earliest stages of having library shelves built and already obsessing about the styling. This offers lots of inspiration.I prefer books and objects to have a relaxed composition and find the order of Kasler's arrangement too contrived.
