FIRESIDE CHATS

There is just something about sitting next to a roaring fire that brings out all our primal instincts. The building of the fire, the lighting of the fire, the stoking of the fire. The smell, the sound, the comfort it brings; not to mention simply the warmth.

On these frightfully cold days this past week, and days of being unable to maneuver our roads, how many of us found solace in our homes, gathered around fireplaces with good friends, shared meals and a warm, welcoming fire to cozy up to and enjoy each others company.

THE ART OF LOOKING

Following suit with all others...I thought I'd rehash our favorite images of the year. It's been an adventure to say the least! I once had a professor in London who told me the most valuable thing one can do to train one's eye is to continue to look. There is no better education in honing one's aesthetic sensibility than that.
