LINING UP

Isn't it funny how stripes work? Always bold, always dramatic- the perfect punctuation mark in a room. A stripe in whatever application, whether it's painted , in wallpaper, on a fabric or in a rug is a classic accoutrement for any space. Chic, sassy and forthright - I think every interior needs a little or sometimes a lot. What do you think?

WICKER AND RATTAN WORKS

My focus has been on a tropical locale for months now and when furnishing a home that will never see a chilly day one always thinks of wicker, rattan and seagrass. The casual texture and informal breeziness always adds heightened dimension even when furnishing a formal space. Forever fresh and inviting - the organic shape inherent in these materials brings a level of welcome relaxation to any interior!

STEEL YOURSELF

What is it that is so incredibly beautiful about a steel window or door? Maybe it's the deceptive airiness of such heavy material, its thin grey lines allowing in all that light! I love their slim proportions and elegant lines as well as their ability to maximize an amazing view.

RUSTICALLY WONDERFUL

Texture, texture, texture!

Nothing brings warmth to a monochromatic interior like the rugged patina of vintage woods. Reclaimed timbers, doors and planks in an otherwise neutral interior add such personality and dimension, infusing the space with elegant rusticity. Even given the rough hewn nature of the materials, they altogether in the end are very calming and ultimately luxurious-poetic and poignant!
