"The imprecise sense of harmonious or aesthetically pleasing proportionality and balance, in that it reflects beauty of perfection."
So often we seek a symmetrical arrangement as it serves the specific purpose of creating equilibrium. Many automatically gravitate toward a symmetrical arrangement in architecture, interior design and landscape in that it reflects our need to achieve a balance in our lives as well as our environments...

THE SOUND OF RUNNING WATER...
How it soothes the soul and calms the mind! Water elements, the quintessential design element in any landscape architecture. Oh to have a day to spend in the garden counting my many blessings!

FIGURATIVELY SPEAKING
Art is my first love, my earliest memory and my passion. Of all the mediums - drawing is the first breath, the most eloquent gesture, the primary source for all that follows. As Andrew Wyeth said...
"I love the quality of the pencil. It helps me get to the core of a thing, and it doesn't compete with painting. With pencil I can study things in detail - it gives me architectural structure - but the color stays like a dream in the back of my mind until I come to paint."

A NAP WOULD BE NICE...
I love a good afternoon nap on a rainy day or especially a lazy sunday afternoon. Unfortunately those days are few and far between. The daybed doubles as a couch by day and a bed by night, always suceeding in doing what I like best - creating a space that is multi-functional - therein study by day, guest room by night...sweet dreams!
