The color purple has long been associated with both nobility and spirituality; purple is the color of mourning for widows in Thailand and the favorite color of Egypt's Cleopatra. The color connotes luxury, wealth and sophistication, therefore purple robes have long been worn by royalty and people of authority or high rank. Because purple is derived from mixing a strong warm and a strong cool color together it has both warm and cool properties. It is said that purple is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment and if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. With that being said...color me purple please!

I just came across your blog, this is my first time here. I really love your "theming" of blog posts like purple, pastoral or white christmas. Even symmetrical and "iron"(ic). It really makes the posts fun to look through. Great idea. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna...the biggest challenge is coming up with any theme!!!But it really so revolves around whatever the design dilemma of the day was!
