SIMPLICITY

I've been waiting for this book almost half my lifetime. I think that is how long I have been following Nancy Braithwaite and her work, (well initially stalking) and now I am fortunate enough to know her personally. The long-awaited book, Simplicity, was certainly worth it as it is truly "a striking tutorial in the power of simplicity in design."

Nancy's work is opulent in its use of restraint. A complete perfectionist, she adheres to her own manifesto that "every element should strive to be simple and powerful without compromise."

My favorite quote from this iconic designer, from what will most certainly become a classic must have book, is -" I believe in simplicity. I also believe there is nothing simple about it."

  1. I agree Beth this book is the best of the best out there in my humble opinion. I wondered for years why she had not yet written a book. Your next! Then my library would be complete.
