Who came up with tufting any way and why? I've looked it up everyway I know how and really cannot come up with the history of the whole process. Don't get me wrong, I love the stuff...the tufted Chesterfield sofa (is that where it began?), a tufted ottoman, headboard or banquette - no matter and whatever the case...love it. Who's got the story?

Love me some tufted furniture! Thanks for posting all this eye candy. I can not find out where it came from either. Will keep looking!
