Gloss, gloss and more gloss! Love lacquer! Glitzy and glamorous, sleek and sexy....give me some lacquer. Just like glass, a glint of that sheen on a surface adds a glimmer to any space....shimmer and shine!

ReplyDeleteCiao Beatrice!!!!How are you? When are you coming back to see us????? We would love to have you back in Atlanta!!!Send me an update on FB....
ReplyDeleteBeth, i loooove these glossy surfaces! they feel so grown up. I saw a great retail store recently in Buenos Aires using high gloss paint - Balthazar Men's Clothing in San Telmo. They had painted wide vertical stripes in maroon and a very soft lime green - sounds odd - but it looked great - very masculine.
ReplyDeleteI always thought you needed perfectly smooth walls for super glossy paint but I read recently they don't have to be. What are your thoughts on that?
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI have used lacquer on not perfectly perfect walls, and it is usually ok....but I still prefer plenty of prep and polish. On wood trim it is imperative to really get the trim satiny smooth! The store in Buenos Aires sounds fabulous!
