COOL BREEZES

Fall cannot get here fast enough for me! I'm sure all of us here in the southeast would agree after one of the hottest summer's on recored. I adore screened porches...there is something so terribly romantic about sitting in an outdoor room with a cool breeze blowing. Here's to hoping!

STENDHAL SYNDROME

"Psychosomatic illness that causes rapid heartbeat, dizziness, fainting, confusion and even hallucinations when an individual is exposed to art, usually when the art is particularly beautiful or a large amount of art is in a small place."
It has happened to me often, hence the expression "take your breath away," the last time, Paris, April 2009, in the Musee D'Orsay. What are our intimate spaces without art - bereft of soul and substance? I cannot imagine my life without it.

A LOW OF 64 DEGREES!

Have I mentioned how much I dislike extreme heat? We are off to the Hamptons tomorrow where the low for Saturday is supposed to be 64°! Oh my gosh, it should feel positively frigid...which made me think of one of my favorite pastimes...dining al fresco! Buon Appetito!
